very very good stay of our weekend. affordable hotel in a safe area near attractions like forty foot and coastal walk bray greystones and the train station and the harbor and the restaurant which had music playing all evening. reasonably priced, great-sized room with refurbished bathrooms and the lighting was a joke, as example.

Breakfast not included in price. Most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in with very old bedding ! Room quite shabby and dirty - very dusty.

The location was excellent, just a 5-minute walk from a maritime museum. The area was very nice, near lovely restaurants and the harbor. The room was tastefully decorated, provided with clean towels, a fabulous view, and a Nespresso machine.

We stayed in a standard room and it was trendy. We enjoyed a very good meal in the morning.

Haddington House in Dun Laoghaire is a reasonably spacious and clean hotel located in a beautiful area near the shore and just a short distance from Dublin. the delicious breakfast with lovely views and outstanding food make it a wonderful choice for both business and leisure travelers.

The best part of my stay at the Kingston was the location of my room. I had a problem with my knee, which prevented me from walking around as much as I would have liked, so appreciated being able to look out over the pier and the sea, all aided by the glorious weather whilst I was there. Having spent a large part of my youth in Dun Laoghaire through various activities this trip was nostalgic for various reasons and I found the Kingston easygoing, and extremely suitable. The staff were more than helpful, the food was excellent and I would definitely stay there again, on the proviso that I got the same room.

The location is terrific.

It was gloomy and the rooms were dark. The man on the night desk was quite unfriendly when we arrived, and in general the staff seemed dour and fed up. It could be a beautiful place. Put in more lights. The beds were uncomfortable - the bottom sheet immediately bunches up on the double bed and it feels as though you are sleeping on a straw mattress. Putting paper 'Bath Mats' inside the tub looks and feels cheap. Also, I booked two rooms - a single and a double. They were both the same, but I paid 20 Euros a night more for the double room. I realize that this is not an expensive hotel, but it could be one of the nicer ones in Dun Laoghaire with a bit of work.

The staff here is extremely friendly and always ready to assist.

An old hotel with plenty of character and good old-fashioned feel and service. Absolute beachfront overlooking the quay at Dun Laoghaire and we were lucky enough to get one of the rooms facing the coast. Meals in the bar were great in value and taste. Very happy overall. Would not suit people who want all the sterile bells and whistles offered by many newer hotels.

Handy for transport links to Dublin etc.
